Colombianas | It’s not only a hat, but wearable art for your head.

This week the preorder season for the unique signature line of the Colombianas, genuine hand-crafted Panama hats flown right in from Colombia, a country that's renowned for its artistic talents, starts. Be quick there’s only limited quantities available.

Life is all about experiencing the fusion of cultures, colors and flavors from the pristine shores of Colombia to the exotic desert dunes of the Middle East. Whether you wish to experience the tranquility of sandy beaches, walk the paved streets of your city or party hard into the morning: With a hand painted Colombianas hat you can do everything in style and express your individuality at the same time. The genuine hand painted Panama hats are not only beautiful pieces of art to wear on your head, but by buying one, you are supporting Colombia, a South-American country, which is still suffering from the consequences of a 50 years long civil war.

“In every corner of Colombia you look is colorful and full of culture and art. Especially if you walk down the paved streets of Cartagena with its pastel colored buildings to the blooming pink Bougainvillea trees, you are immediately drawn into the beauty and rich flavors of the beautiful city. You can still see that the country and its people have been through a lot in the past but you can feel the gratitude and joy for life everywhere“, says Alexandra Kraft, Founder of the Colombianas brand.

The birth of unique fashion items of art

Sitting in a corner of a traditional street cafe, sipping a tasty aromatic cup of Colombian brewed coffee, a simple chat about the country's rich culture and history, turned into a deeper cultural conversation. This was the moment when the idea of 'Colombianas' was born. There could be no better choice than Colombia as originating country for the hats as the people here are gifted with indigenous artistic talents, that have been passed on from generation to generation for years.

¬†‚ÄúIt is fascinating how deeply artistic talents are rooted in Colombia‚Äôs history and families. We love art and we love Colombia. Our mission is to support this country‚Äôs artistic talents and show the whole world the richness and beauty of Colombia‚ÄĚ, Kraft continues.¬†

Wear art on your head and make a statement

“Art is a common language seen, spoken and crafted all around the world. Alexandra Kraft started this venture because of her love and appreciation for all things beautiful and artistic. Along with a local artisan she curated a signature line of handmade hats that combine practicality, style and art. Each piece is unique, protects you from the sun, is a guaranteed eye catcher wherever you go and supports a country, where art has always played an important role.

“It didn’t take me very long to make up my mind, of bringing those unique hats to the world. My love for art and hats were not the only reasons for creating this brand, but also the fact, that I am creating an impact with my investment by supporting Colombian rural societies  and helping this rich and beautiful country thrive, explains Kraft, who is already engaged in other design-driven ventures.
